Life Jacket Skills in our School

The Senior school students have been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to practice using a life Jacket in the schools swimming pool. This is thanks to Watersafe Auckland Inc. For most of our students this opportuinity was a first time experience and it gave them more confidence to swim with the life jacket on.

Some of the comments from chn were:

Nora-This is fun we can float in these. This is my first time in a life jacket!

Niko-I really liked floating on my back, it is so easy to breathe!

Weet Bix Tryathlon 2011

Students at our school have the opportunity to register for the 2011 Weetbix Tryathlon. Senior syndicate teachers will be talking with their class and giving them more information.

So get  your training gear ready and get going!!!!

Leabank's Cultural Concert.

Make sure you mark on your calendar  Thursday 9th December where all friends and families of the school can meet in the school hall to watch several of our school's cultural groups. Some of the groups performing will be our school Kapa haka, Indian, Tongan, Cook Island groups, choir and our NEW school band!

Performances will be starting at 6pm
